One visit to Gracepoint on Sunday evening will convince anyone that an incredible move of God is happening at Gracepoint. The power and authority of the liberating Word of God, combined with dynamic worship and response to the Spirit, has created an atmosphere where salvation experiences, deliverances, healings, miracles, signs and wonders are occuring.
I am thankful that when I look into the Bible book of the Acts of the Apostles I see that we are on a similar path as those in the original church. We have the same message.
Some were skeptical a few years ago when we changed the name of the church to Gracepoint. They wanted to hold on to legacy. We intend to do more than hold on to legacy, but to actually be what we say we are. We did not change our identity or our doctrine; but we changed our mindset from a settled church to an evangelistic church that points people to the grace of God. This church has a strong and sure foundation that was laid down by my tremendous predecessor . . . but we aren't staying on the foundation level any more . . . we are now building the building (the Church body) upon that foundation.
What some might call revival . . . we are determining to be the way it will be from now forward.
It is the grace of God that mercifully enables us to preach the Word and witness signs following. His grace means that salvation is real because the Acts 2:38 experience is still pointing the way to Jesus. Grace means we pray for the sick and healing happens. Grace means that miracles, signs, and wonders are as much a part of the Church today as they were in the days of the apostles. Grace grants us the benefit of the Gifts of the Spirit still operating in the Church. Grace has enabled us to break the power of the enemy and enjoy liberty and spiritual dominion. Grace enables us to preach about the one true God and a lifestyle of holiness and righteousness that pleases Him as His Spirit and Word guide us. Grace means that we are not substituting religion for a real and dynamic relationship with God in the Spirit.
Gracepoint is a Word church. His Word does not return void.
Grace is breaking forth and now moving outside the walls of this church. We are tearing down walls that kept the gospel locked inside and we are now beginning to release it outside. We are sent to be light to this city.
Just like Jesus faced opposition from religious extremist who resisted the will of God in His day, so have we. Gracepoint has refused the normal and status quo, and is more interested in being the Church than accepting mediocrity. This path led us by the Spirit through a time in the wilderness. The wilderness experience wasn't fun, but it is now proving to be worth it. Now we are enjoying the other side of the story and are experiencing the power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost.
An incredible move of God is happening at Gracepoint. If you are hungry for more and wanting to get involved on the ground floor of a spiritual awakening . . . visit us this week.
Gob bless you!
