It is exciting to see that things are building toward a special and significant move of God's Spirit here at Gracepoint. The momentum is gaining.
I preached out of town several times this week. I praise the Lord that He is again elevating my ministry beyond the local church. That is a good thing. I was in Harrisburg Illinois with Pastor Bobby Gentry and the folks at River of Life for several services. Heaven came down and met with us. Many wonderful things happened in the lives of the people there. The Gentry's are wonderful hosts.
I was also in New Jersey with Pastor D'Amico and the wonderful folks there this past week. We had several nights of services and then I taught on leadership topics Saturday. Many good reports and great feedback came to me as a result of the services. The D'Amico's also were excellent hosts. God is to be praised!
But this past Sunday at Gracepoint was spectacular. The power, freedom, and witness of the Spirit was intense. The music and praise singing was simply at it's best. We actually had guests that came because they have heard that our music was really good. They were not disappointed, stayed longer than they intended, and all said they would be back next week. Other guests were touched also, and we anticipate a great harvest soon.
I preached a short message entitled, "Restored". It is available for your listening on the audio page of this website.
We had a live recording of the Royal Tailor Band last week. Even though it was not advertised and invitations were word of mouth only . . . several hundred plus showed up! To our joy over half of these were local university and High School students that are not members of our church. They are hungry for what is happening here at Gracepoint. Praise the Lord!
We held our first off-site university outreach at a "secret" facility nearby. Again invitations were word of mouth . . . and excluded our church. We wanted small crowd in order to work out the kinks in our sytem. There were only a few glitches involving the sound system and the air conditioning thermostat. However things went very well. 50 were in attendance and close to 40 were from the university! Those included about 6 who came with one of our young ladies from a university about 45 minutes away. She said she could have brought twice that many if she only had proper transportation. So . . . since their interest is up we are contemplating the start of a campus ministry there also.
The youth have been teaching about repentance and baptism for the past few months. We are having a baptism service in the youth service on Wednesday night this week. We expect many to be baptized in Jesus' Name. Others are telling us they cannot be there because of work schedules but they will be baptized within a few services.
So much is happening. Momentum is building.
Pray for us to use wisdom in all that we do.
